On A Personal Note ~
On July 17th , I had a total right knee replacement.
Surgery went smoothly and I’m recuperating well with steady improvement through PT, although energy does fade.Less than a week after surgery, I learned that my DearHeart step-daughter, Mimi Fitzhugh, was involved in a horrific car accident; her beloved MiniCooper hit by an uninsured drunk driver in a pick-up truck. He is currently in jail.
All our family energy has moved toward Mimi and her recovery. As of now, although stable, she is still unconscious. She shows some responsiveness. She had 14 broken ribs, with both lungs collapsed, a skull fracture with a brain bleed that has not spread, fracture to C4, but fortunately not the spinal cord, fracture to the occipital eye bone but the eye is intact. And yet, her brave soul and courageous heart keeps her with us and working to return to herself.
Please send all your blessings, prayers, and healing energies and modalities to Mimi and her long-time partner, Mike Gage, who is with her every day and holding the fort, energetically and practically. Thank you all for you caring energy. She is in Westchester Medical Center in NY.
A friend of Mike's created a Go Fund Me page for Mimi and Mike is managing it. The radiant picture of her on it was taken in June, after she made a great effort to visit with me in Virginia prior to my surgery. She a daughter of my heart, who I first met when she was just 12 years old and we have carried our bond all these almost 50 years forward.
